You can fix the frameskipping on an old-firmware ViewSonic XG2530 by doing this with NVIDIA Custom Resolution or ToastyX Custom Resolution:Īlso, alternatively, enabling FreeSync also fixes frameskipping. None of the new shipments from Amazon or anywhere (non-refurbs) should have any frameskipping anymore since ViewSonic was the first and fastest to fix frameskipping in a non-GSYNC 240Hz monitor (it actually affected practically every 240Hz FreeSync monitor back at the time) Those only affects early units (a 2017 firmware). Will it have lower input lag when freesync disabled? because im not using it, its always off (i have nvidia gtx 970) I've read Blur Buster post about xg2530 2017-era firmwares has frame skipping, my monitor manuf date but im not sure if it has frame skipping or not, is frame skipping results on this monitor really bad? whats disadvantages of it? I read couple review of xg2530 monitor, about input lag pcmonitors review says "8.67ms (~ 2 frames at 240Hz) of input lag" "We have no way to accurately measure input lag when FreeSync is doing its thing"įor xg2401 "3.38ms (under ½ a frame at 144Hz) of input lag"īoth of those tested while using freesync I've a viewsonic xg2401 144hz monitor since about 1 year using it, and now just got a xg2530 240hz new one for couple days to test i like this monitor and i will keep it if i get my answers about input lag and frame skipping I've a couple questions i hope Blur Buster and other experienced people can answer
